I was on my lunch break when I saw three decent office chairs on the sidewalk. A woman stopped to look at them when I was a block or so away, and she was still looking at them when I passed her and looked back to see if she made a decision or not. I never found out whether or not she took one of them.
Some friends of mine pointed out the website GarbageScout.com which is a site where people can take photos of street trash they deem claimable (and they’re not interested in), take photo of it using their camera and submit it to their website where it’ll pop up on a Google Map so people can try to go and get the item if it’s something they’re interested in. Pretty damn awesome if you ask me.
