I went to the mall yesterday and I realized more surely than ever that I’m going to be doing 90% of my shopping online if not more. The type of interests most of my friends have are better served by obscure websites or New York’s Chinatown. Plus even if I do find some obscure stuff in Chinatown, I can usually find a lot of it cheaper online. The exception would be Hong Kong movies because they’re dirt cheap in Chinatown, but anime related goods are mostly cheaper online. Wall scrolls to my delight are one of the exceptions to that rule. Though there is also something to be said for going to a store and being able to touch something before you buy it. Anyway, point being, I’m going to do my best to avoid the more popular places people go for their Christmas shopping. Not that I do anything different from that the entire year round.
