A friend of mine once had some friends from out of town visiting. When they were in Brooklyn they kept on asking him when they were going to New York City. When he insisted they were already in New York City they kept on asking “No, when are we going to New York City?” I took this when I was seeing friends in Queens so that people who are similarly uninformed can understand that Manhattan isn’t all of New York City. That’s what makes it so big.
