You know a marketing buzzword has become a full blown phenomenon when it’s being used to describe things which totally cannot be logically be associated with the thing being advertised. A few years ago that marketing buzzword was HD. Now it’s 3D because animated and live-action 3D films are now the hot gimmick. When I was in a Duane Reade recently I saw Crest 3D Multi-Care Whitening Rinse. I suppose all mouthwash in the physical world is technically 3D, but I shudder to think about the people who were enticed to buy this product because it had “3D” written on it.
We’re almost done with this spool. Next time I get floss it won’t be the cheap brand. I don’t want to know how much wax I’ve probably ingested during the course of using this floss.
So after much wasted time and general laziness I have a dentist in NYC finally. My post-high school dental maintenance has not been stellar shall we say, at least when it comes to going to the dentist regularly. I was kind of worried going in because some of my teeth are sensitive to cold water right now, but the dentist said it was probably just my silver fillings being more sensitive to cold. No cavities and like in the comic they said I need to floss more and use a soft bristle toothbrush. Also I might be getting a night guard because I grind my teeth when I sleep.
Anyway, my mom can relax now because she’s been bugging me to go to the dentist for a while now and I’ve finally done it and things are ok in that department. Next up I suppose I should see my eye doctor who I haven’t seen in a while and also get a physical checkup which I also haven’t done in a while. If I keep this up I’ll almost feel like I’m an adult.
Ever been a situation where you got the wires in your brain crossed? I do that all the time. Thankfully in this situation I stopped myself before attempting to brush my teeth with a cotton swab. Mostly I get my wires crossed when it comes to reaching into my bag or pocket when I’m at a subway turnstile or arriving at my door at home. More than once I’ve found myself grabbing for my metrocard in order to get into my apartment or getting my keys out before going through a turnstile.
Of course I rinse afterwards and the feeling of rinsing afterwards is probably even better.
Turns out when I was looking in their exact location I still didn’t see them. I think because I was looking for a different type of container for toothpicks. Still, I went through the entire supermarket trying to find the logical place for toothpicks. Finally I asked someone, and they didn’t know at first. They ended up being in the cleaning aisle over by light bulbs and stuff.
I was this close to trying this, but my girlfriend thought of a better idea and just filled the tube with water, shook it around and poured the water on our brushes 
This is one of those comics that initially are meant to save me time so I can go to bed sooner, but end up taking longer because I forget how much drawing is required. I didn’t have a bad day yesterday, just that by the time I was headed home it was very late because I was at a friend’s place. I’ve had days like this though where once you’re tired you can’t really think about anything except the bare essentials of what you want to do before you go to bed. Basically when you’re running on automatic pilot as much as possible and thinking of anything more complicated is a pain in the ass.
As for the snack, I’ve been known to do that where I’ll brush my teeth and get a hankering for some sort of snack, eat it, then have to brush my teeth again.
There are aspects of my personality that can be rather obsessive and anal. Am I weird for taking great pleasure in removing the cap from my new tube of toothpaste? Does anyone else do this? I also like being the person to take the first piece of paper towel off the roll because that’s the only piece that has a slight stick to the rest of the paper. Anyone?
