We bought this purely for the container, the drink didn’t end up being all that refreshing. Check it out here. I understand that it’s trying to be unique but I can’t find any other practical reason to do this. It doesn’t make it easier to stack or anything.

Yesterday morning a guy forgot his left over Dunkin Donuts fruit shake thingy. It seemed to be handling the starting and stopping of the subway just fine, but still part of me just couldn’t leave it there even though I’ve been fine doing nothing before in the past.
As soon as I picked it up I felt like all eyes were on me even though no one appeared to care. I almost felt the urge to take a sip to see how people would react. Once I got to my stop I made a beeline for the nearest trash can, and all the while I was looking back to see if anyone had gotten off with me and checked that I was in fact throwing it out and not saving it for myself.

Non-spill tops are good, but unless it’s a special store bought mug it’s probably not going to save your laptop if the unthinkable happens. It was a little nerve wracking watching the guy open his laptop, take his coffee out, slowly peel the non-spill mouthpiece back…
He didn’t end up spilling any coffee, but there was one close call.

I know I’ve done lots of comics about my distaste for diet-anything, but as I write this it’s nearly 2 AM and I’m really tired because I was at Gen Con this past weekend promoting Alteil for work. While we were there some people on the street were giving out free Coke Zero, but no one with me was tempted in the slightest.

Like most Brita filters out there, ours was past its due by at least two months. There’s a little blinky thing on the top that is supposed to tell you when to replace the filter. Of course, being the cynic I figured that the filter probably lasts longer than it claims, kind of like how I always used my tooth brushes past the halfway point of the blue indicator thing.
Well we finally got some new filters, so I decided to do a test. I poured a glass of water using the current filter, and when the new one was ready and cold I poured another glass. I put both in front of my girlfriend for her to try out. She took two tastes of each glass and picked the filtered one. I was almost disappointed, because up until then I had apparently been fine drinking not so filtered refigerated water. Still though, I tasted them afterwards too and could tell the filtered one tasted cleaner, whereas the other one almost seemed drier or something.
Granted, New York City is supposed to have some of the cleanest drinking tap water so I don’t think drinking it is as bad as some other places. I imagine there are places in the country where the difference in water is much greater in difference. Off the top of my head I always remembered brushing my teeth at a family friend’s house in New Jersey and how strong the chlorine flavor was.

It’s times like these that I wonder if I’m really like this, or have I become more like this for the sake of my comic?

This morning we walked past people giving out a new drink for free on the street. The woman we saw has this EXACT reaction. Seriously, the volume of her voice was just about proportional to the font point size I used (assuming the other one is a normal speaking voice). I don’t like giving into the mob mentality for free stuff. Maybe it’s because I hate those types of people at anime conventions, or maybe it’s a more universal view, I don’t know.

It’s been a while since this happened but it did actually happen. This guy in the front row of the back section not only was drinking wine but he brought in a WINE GLASS to drink it from. I understand bringing alcohol into a theater but come on really???

This happened a while ago, I was actually in the subway at the time. This woman across the train from me dropped her water bottle. It rolled toward me so I picked it up and handed it to her. She just took it from me without a single word. Not even the “nks” that people sometimes say under their breath when they don’t say the full on “Thanks.”

Yes this has happened to me (at least through panel 5), and from here on out whenever I have a cold I’m sure my friends will remember this one (assuming they read this comic). This is a pretty disgusting topic so I’m not going to comment anymore.
