Our usual cleaning lady at work is out right now. So either the substitute one brought a different supply of toilet paper or she discovered a secret cache of 2-ply toilet paper in our office. It felt almost a little weird to find it because usually you don’t see it in office buildings and such.
I think I already did a strip about bathroom urinal advertising, but in response that comic one of my readers told me that they had seen ads inside of urinals. I sort of sat on that idea for a while but here it is. Seriously though, do advertisers really not care that people are literally urinating all over their ad?
Yesterday I went to the bathroom to put my contact lenses in. This meant I carried to the bathroom a plastic bag with a couple odd bottles in it. My friend who was in the bathroom when I got out of the stall holding a plastic bag asked me what was in the bag. I didn’t realize until he left the implications of holding a plastic bag after having exited a bathroom stall. Had I been him I don’t know that I would’ve asked.
I was in the bathroom when I heard someone come in, wash their hands, use the bathroom and then leave right away. I guess not a HUGE deal since when using a urinal you’re usually not touching much more in the bathroom other than the flush handle, but still.
I was at a Vietnamese restaurant recently which had one person bathrooms. There really was a man and a woman in the separate bathrooms nearly in sync with their flushing and washing up. I think the guy was actually ahead by a second or two though.
I was at the Film Forum to see No End in Sight (which was extremely good, horrifying, enfuriating, and informative at the same time) and the men’s room line was at least six guys out the door whereas there was absolutely no line for the women’s room. Everyone passing by or in line made some remark in the order of “Heh heh, what’s wrong with THIS picture. Oh my god you never see this!” And yes it’s quite true, it was fairly amusing. Only thing I could think of is that the manliest of man movies ever had just gotten out and there were that many more men who went to see the movie than women. Other than that I can only think that I had crossed dimensions into the Bizarro World.
No, the guy didn’t have this actual conversation but isn’t being on your cell phone while using a urinal quite enough? Seriously, just wait TWO MINUTES. Ew.
I started this one after 1 am, so I’m sticking to my pattern of toilet humor when it’s very late and all I want to do is go to sleep.
