I’m at Otakon this weekend, this photo probably doesn’t match the weather now because the forecast said it was going to rain.
This is actually from last year’s Otakon. What do you expect? I don’t anticipate having any computer access this weekend, much less a scanner so this is what you get.
This is the second reason I’m bringing lots of snacks to Otakon this year. First reason is that when it’s late and you’re inside the convention center you need to surrender an arm and/or a leg to get a snack. They must get their supplies from a store that already marks their stuff up a lot.
I don’t remember if in previous years I ever found any places open that late in Baltimore. I’m pretty certain there wasn’t anything open to even get a bottle of water. Maybe I’ll discover one this year. Pretty much being in any other city makes you appreciate the things you take for granted living in New York.
For some reason I decided to let him go to Otakon this year. I think part of it has to do with the fact I don’t have any photos stored up for the weekend, so I was going to post pictures around the convention center.
I knew I wanted this strip to be about the bus I’m taking to Otakon this year (NYU’s anime club), but I wasn’t sure what angle to take. I seriously doubt anyone dedicated enough to take a bus full of anime nerds instead of Greyhound would answer “Pokemon” as their favorite anime. But you can’t do strictly reality, so I thought I’d just insert an annoying anime fan. I just like the idea of being so exclusive that you’d have to pass some sort of test to get on the bus. Very elitist of me.
