Yep I’ve been thinking of it for a while now, but I’ve never done anything for this long before. Over 12 years now!!! Even just a glance at old comics shows me what a colossally different place my life is in right now than it was then. Looking back at it is like stumbling upon a very old email that shows up in search results, I almost don’t want to look at it because of what I’m embarrassed to remember about myself.

But yes, having stability and a career that I really enjoy now is making me think more about my free time and what I want to spend it doing. One thing I don’t want to spend it doing is agonizing over a comic and then writing something that’s basically just there for the sake of being there. I’m still very happy that I have regular readers, but I still don’t like doing stuff half-assed which is what I’ve felt like the comic has been like for a while now.

So I’ve been thinking of how to reflect upon 12 years of my life which understandably is no small feat.

Also I have darn Michael Caine from “The Weatherman” in the back of my head saying “Do you know that the harder thing to do and the right thing to do are usually the same thing?” But you know what? There’s no such thing as the “right” thing in situations like this it’s just what I think would be best for me.

But don’t worry, this isn’t the end juuuuuust yet. I’m going to have to sit down and write a bunch of stuff and it’ll probably spread out across multiple comics.

Thank you for reading!
