Last night I had a pretty good open mic especially considering the audience was pretty small. Some stuff I wasn’t very sure of hit much harder than I expected which was great.

When people ask me why I’m doing stand-up comedy right now my answer is just that I think about it all the time and just need to do it to get it out. I don’t have ambitions of making a career out of it, I just want to get good at it.

The other reason of course is that it’s a lot of fun to make people laugh, but the irony is that right now the stage time goes so fast that there’s no time to enjoy the moment if it happens to go well. Maybe once I get more comfortable on stage I’ll be more able to soak it in when things go well
