We were looking through the canned cat food aisle and were pretty surprised to see all sorts of ingredients in cat food that felt like they were trying to trick people into thinking that it’s healthy. I mean, cats might eat cat grass but they’re carnivorous creatures. So why is there spinach, brown rice, blueberries and all sorts of veggies in cat food?

Just like the vegetarian egg scenario it sounds good because most people aren’t going to think that extra step of “Wait, chickens naturally eat worms and cats naturally eat mice and small critters.”

As far as I can tell it’s just a trick so that they can fill out their foods with cheaper ingredients. Basically, if you see those things on the label, they’re probably just saying “if you buy this, you are dumb.”
