So I did some research (actually I did it last night before doing the comic because I still wanted to do yesterday’s comic) and it turns out all farm raised salmon has color added to it. Salmon, like flamingos get their color from their diet of shrimp and foods which pass that color along. Since farm raised salmon get fed food pellets, the meat ends up looking gray which is why color is added.

Whole Foods’ salmon also had a label that color was added though it was smaller than on the Ralphs label at the fish section. The more you know!
