I meant to do this comic last year but talking about Billy Crystal took precedence so I put it off until this year. The Oscars on the East coast are arguably more of a slog to sit through because it’s literally going late into the night. When Seth Macfarlane said “It’s late” during the show it wasn’t even 9:00 pm yet which made his words ring rather hollow.

It’s weird to think how three hours can totally change the Oscar party dynamic. In NYC it’ll be a late night with people getting drunk and stuff. On the West coast it’s plausible that it’s one of those parties you have where people are leaving at 9:00 because your friends have kids now.
