One of the best thing about PAX is the sheer volume of indie games that you can play there. At the same time it can be a real tease depending on how early in development the game is. Games take a long time to make, especially if it’s a very ambitious project with a relatively small team. I’ve seen some games at what feels like every PAX since we started going in 2010 and I’m still dying to get my hands on some of them.

Of course when I really think about it, being excited about so many games and having to wait for them is a nice “problem” to have.

One game I saw at PAX East this year (and was at PAX Prime) is Mark of the Ninja by Klei Entertainment who made Shank. It’s out on XBLA this Friday and I’m super duper uber stoked to play it. 2D stealth ninja game. ‘Nuff said. No more of this loudly kicking treasure chests open b.s.!
