Watched the Mars Curiosity landing yesterday, and like many other people I struggled to understand what was being said most of the time. I think there was a lot of “Everything’s still good to go” speak and there was clapping during the various stages.

When it did successfully land it was very moving to see the people there so happy and brought to tears at their accomplishment. I admit I got a little teary watching it too. I know space isn’t as sexy as it used to be and that there are a lot of people in the country who think it’s a waste of time and money (it’s not), but I sincerely hope that things like this will continue to inspire future generations to want to further the exploration of space.

I mean come on. SPAAAAAAAACE!!!
