Sometimes I search All Recipes when I have some stuff I want to look for something new to cook using whatever I have in my fridge. SO MANY recipes specify veggies that are canned, bagged or packaged otherwise. I understand why you need frozen strawberries for smoothies (or fresh strawberries that have been frozen) and also I know studies say that frozen vegetables retain more nutrition, but come on really?

The vast majority of the recipes I read don’t provide any special reason their recipes call for packaged vegetables. It’s like the person writing the recipe has no idea that you can get them by any other means of distribution than a sealed plastic bag or can. I suppose it’s good they’re eating vegetables at all.
