Like most people, I hate packing. It’s actually not that bad for me because I don’t have many possessions other than games and DVDs. About 80% of my clothing fit in one giant duffel bag with wheels, and the rest could probably fit in a carry-on for the airplane. But when it comes to packing everything else my brain tries to find the simplest things.

The most simple are things that are like-shaped such as DVDs and games, but after that I start going for the parts of the apartment which can be completely packed in only a box or two. Failing that I’ll find an area of the apartment that will look very clean after its items are packed. So one of those was the refrigerator, taking magnets and stuff off of it. Another was our coffee table surface which has a sheet of glass, but for decoration Anna put small rubik’s cubes and toys between the table and the glass.

The whiteboard in question has almost never been used because since February 2010 it’s had this drawing on it that Anna made during Setsubun that year. It also has this drawing on it from a year before in February 2009 which is when we moved in.
