I’ve had some California pizza before and the best description I’ve heard is that it’s kind of like Japanese style pizza. Lots of weird toppings and crust that is rather soft. Also, smaller slices. I think the characteristics of New York pizza are large slices that you fold in your hand in order to eat and nice crispy crust. Oh the crust and its crispiness. Yes, that’s what real pizza is all about.

Fortunately though Anna and I have learned to make our own pizza with nice crispy crust, so that’s one thing that I won’t have to miss too much.
