I feel like I did this comic already but I couldn’t find it. Anyway, I hate when cashiers hand you the bills before the change, because it’s a test to see if you can get it off the bills into your other hand without dropping it. God forbid they sandwich the change between the bills and the receipt, then you can’t even reach onto the bills with your fingers to grab the change.
So to the cashiers out there, please stop doing this. Give me the change first so it can rest easy in the the palm of my hand where it’s easier to grip and I put my bills away. Does anyone else have a problem with this? Or is it just me?

I know what you mean. And to further avoid looking foolish sometimes ya just have to crumple up the nice bills. Shame really. I just assume it’s easier to process the change needed when you read it like anything else. Dollars come before cents so they just hand ya the bills first.
Doesn’t make it any less annoying though.
I’m a cashier.
I hand the bills first all the time
giving the change first?
Blasphemy!
Yeah my best argument in support for bills first is that the cash is the most important part of the equation, but god dammit…
So it’s YOU!??? That does it, I’m never ever visiting Belgium! Just kidding, I love your chocolate and beer and would love to go there some day ^_^
In the case you get the bill first all you have to do is till the bill towards you and let the change slide into your hand (its the most efficient way I have found, really).
