When Hurricane Irene was passing through NYC we were at PAX Prime which meant that our original flight was canceled. I used over an hour of precious PAX time trying to get a new flight by talking to people on the phone and ended up getting super lucky by just checking the Delta website.
Anyway, my refund for the canceled flight came through and I now know that in my banking site, minus dollars show up in parentheses. It’s like finding lots of free money, except in reality it’s just something that came out of my bank account and left a big hole that will now be filled.
