Anna was looking at Jackie Chan’s fan page. Most of the posts are just a photo and maybe a quote, but it’s amazing that there are oftentimes 40,000+ “likes” and 3000+ comments. One post about Jackie’s 100th movie had over 15,000 comments! I understand how the people running the page use the data to chart the demographics etc, but what the heck goes through the mind of the commenters?

I’d love to read a research paper about these people that still feel the need to comment even if what they’re saying has probably been said hundreds of times in the same thread with the exact same wording.
