When I got my phone I bought a protective case and screen protectors. I ended up messing up most of the cheap screen protectors trying to get it on my phone cleanly and the case was kind of loose so I ended up putting some black tape in the corners to keep it snug. Then eventually the case came off and just recently I took the screen protector off.
I always knew the touch of the protector wasn’t so smooth, but having it off is like having a new phone ’cause it’s all shiny now, the color is better and using it is a lot smoother. The parts of the phone that were exposed before which are the buttons and the edge don’t have any scratches on them at all so I think I’m just going to use it this way from now on (knock on wood).
my two co-workers both have evos. One has always had his in a case and the other never. The one who doesn’t use a case strongly recommended the other try going case free cause it’s so much nicer. He did. A week later he dropped it and cracked the screen. Lesson? Beats me.
Hahaha, well the case I have wouldn’t protect a cracked screen. It’s possible a screen protector might somewhat blunt an impact should I drop it. In the year I’ve had my phone I’ve dropped it a few times, but not onto hard surfaces so *knock on wood*. Other thing about the case is that it slightly throws off the balance when you use the kick stand.
