Recently I cleaned my desk up which mostly involved  trashing junk mail, organizing software CDs, receipts, CD spools and also finding the occasional bit of candy. Actually the only piece I ate was a small peppermint which I have no recollection of ever taking from somewhere. Maybe it was at some sort of office or table at a convention which had free candy. Anyway, when cleaning up, food is the best thing because you can literally get rid of it and never have to see it again. Everything else just piles up somewhere.

That is not to say that I go out of my way to find things to eat in places they wouldn’t normally be, that’s disgusting. But if I found some wrapped hard candy I probably wouldn’t hesitate to finally consume it. The other candy I found was some konpeito which is a Japanese hard candy you might remember being fed to soot sprites in the film Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki
