I’m not sure how many times I heard “Still Alive” before I beat the original Portal, but hearing it once was bad enough. This time around I’m going to do it smarter, and hopefully I won’t have to wait long for my copy to arrive from Amazon. I did get to see my brother-in-law experience the ending of Portal completely fresh which was a fun vicarious experience. I’m guessing I’ll have to somehow avoid the Twitters and usual game sites that I check religiously and reddit of course despite the community’s current extreme sensitivity about spoilers.
I’ve seen some story bits from video footage, but for the most part I think Valve has done a good job at teasing but not spoiling. Once I finally beat it I’ll do my best to avoid posting anything that could be considered spoilery just in case any of you reading this are as anxious for it as I am.

I feel ya, Being part of the whole ARG, then having the leaked console copies end up on the internet.
Full gameplay is already out there, so hard to avoid!
YEESH! I thought I’d have a little bit of time before I turned off parts of my RSS feed, but guess not. Thanks for the tip, I’ll do my best avoiding it >_<
It’s funny because I have no desire to find spoilers for certain games or even anticipate them. Portal 2 is actually one of them and same with Portal 1. I don’t know ANYTHING about Portal 2 other than it has co-op and there are some robots or something if the box art is any indication.
Now Halo and Metal Gear games, that’s a different story. But consequently, I am never let down by games like Portal whereas Halo has let me down in every iteration except for the first, which is the one that I didn’t even realized had came out because I thought it was vaporware once it moved to the Xbox.
Oh, and yes I am getting the hell out of Portal 2 and I eagerly anticipate its arrival from Amazon tomorrow.
