Actually this is the second or third type of this mail that I’ve received. This time it’s basically the same envelope, except the first time it said “IMPORTANT INFORMATION ENCLOSED.” Either Cablevision broke some rules with the disguising of their mail or they realized it didn’t work so this time it actually says the price offer for TV, internet and phone. This kind of defeats the purpose of disguising the advertisement as something else though.
I get a lot of mail like that but then for lotteries. Usually it says something on the envelope like “only deliver to addressed person” with a faux checklist for the mailer on the envelope, while it is not addressed to my name but to “to the inhabitants of “.
