Actually I think the separate ink cartridges was a great idea, but it’s true that my computer still wants yellow when printing a black and white document. In my printer settings everything is set to grayscale with no color settings whatsoever and yet I still get an error message telling me I can’t print unless I have one of the colors. I figured out that if I just pause the printer queue and resume it, the printer will print it out with no fuss at all. I have to do it every single time I print, but I like it because I feel kind of like I’m tricking the computer.
It’s so bad that now we have to trick the computer to do things for us. Could you check the underside of your printer and say if it has a sticker on it “manufactured by cyberdyne”?
Hmmm, my printer number is CSM-101… All kidding aside, at least we still possess the capacity to trick the computer
