While running errands yesterday I stopped by my now former morning deli place to tell them that I wouldn’t be coming every morning anymore. I gave them a little something in their tip jar which can’t really make up for an entire year, but I wanted to show my appreciation. It was actually two guys at this deli. If one didn’t get me then the other would and pretty much every day they did it with a smile. I’d line up, give a smile and a nod and they’d say “raisin!” and I’d get my bagel probably faster than the guy in front of me waiting for his food.
We shook hands and I bid them farewell. We’ll see where my next job puts me. If I end up working in the same area of course I’ll head back there, but more likely I’ll be looking for bagel man 3.0.

oh noes~!!! bagel man~!!!
=[ At least send him a Christmas card? Haha.
I have pretzel “women” where I work. They know when I go in there I’m getting a cinnamon pretzel and a large coke.
That was a really nice thing to do. So interesting these little relationships that just build up like barnacles.
so sad, goodbye bagel man =’(
I’ve done the same when I left another town. A few years later I visited that town, got a sandwich and they were really happy to see me again!
This was so sad!! I think I told my coffee guy that I wouldn’t see him for a while when I was laid off from 4Kids.
