When I was walking out of the subway on the way to kung fu class there was a rather large puddle of water at the bottom of the stairs. It was slowing down foot traffic as people were trying their best to navigate past it. By the time I got out of kung fu class they had taped it up. I wonder if there’s some sort of liability that the MTA is trying to avoid by taping off stairways to prevent people from walking in puddles. Or maybe it’s just a courtesy because they know people don’t want to walk through a puddle.
