I’m a totally unabashed meat eater. Whenever I’m eating a juicy burger I think about my history class from junior year of high school. I’m ashamed I don’t remember my teacher’s name from that year because I really liked him. In one class he was talking about understanding different cultures by standing in their own shoes. He was comparing different eating habits.

When he was talking about the U.S. he said that Americans love nothing better than a thick juicy steak. He then went onto saying that all that juice is nothing but “melted fat and blood” and to other cultures the idea of that could be totally sickening. I thought it was hilarious to describe it that way and it’s stuck with me ever since.
