I think about this sometimes when I’m buying only one thing from a store especially for something that had an embarrassing sort of use like toilet paper. Last night I was half listening to music while I was making the transaction and in retrospect I realized I probably sounded very curt especially when I said I didn’t need the bag. Saying you don’t need a bag just makes it sound more urgent doesn’t it?
