I want to get my own picture of one of these vats one day, but I found this one on flickr to give you an idea. Pretty much there comes a point when you have to realize that if you get Chinese food within a certain radius, there’s going to be MSG in it. Wikipedia has a rather extensive article on MSG if you’d like further reading. Apparently there used to be a time when food having MSG was being advertised as a reason you would WANT to eat the food. Like they would tout it in commercials as having MSG.
