Big news yesterday was that Captain America is now dead after getting snipered coming out of a courthouse. I found it amusing when I saw a guy on the subway reading the Daily News and in capitals on an inside page was CAPTAIN AMERICA IS DEAD or something to that effect. The fact that this got huge capital letters in a newspaper is hilarious to me because it’s like they were a real person. I understand it’s kind of a big deal, but anyone who reads American comics knows that when superheroes get killed they never stay dead. I wonder how many other papers had huge sections dedicated to this recent news.
