I don’t know if it’s just because the machines weren’t equipped to do that at that particular moment or if they can just never handle international packages. I would hope it was a temporary thing because I don’t want to think about the computer programmer who had to put in an “international button” and also an explanation about why there’s no further service for international packages into the computer system. Anyway, this is why I prefer to go to shipping places that aren’t the post office but are still capable of shipping by a number of different methods because the lines are usually shorter and you don’t have to deal with stupid crap like this.
