Anyone who lives in New York or who has walked around New York a decent amount knows that this city has an incredibly dense population of tiny tiny dogs. I call them rat dogs, though I’m sure there are some serious subway rats that are bigger than even these dogs. Whenever I see them I want to kick them sort of like wanting to destroy a sand castle when you see it. Dachshunds are okay, and Corgis are ridiculously cute, but if you’re a tiny little dog who looks like something Paris Hilton would own, then all bets are off.

Anyway, I did this strip because every now and then you’ll see someone who owns one of these dogs and they’ll be carrying the dog in the palm of their hand. I usually roll my eyes when I see this. I understand when they’re inside of a store they do this because there’s probably not much space on the floor and it’s easier to keep them under control, but dogs just weren’t meant to be carried like that. That goes for you people keeping your dogs in your jackets and purses too.

Oh, and don’t ask me what kind of dog the one I drew is supposed to be, because I’m guessing I’ve created a new breed with this drawing.
