Am I a bastard for thinking this whenever I open a door and a person who happens to benefit thanks me for it? Because I think this ALL THE TIME. Sure, it’s a thank you if I hold the door open for the person behind me and I’m going through. It’s a thank you if I let more than one person pass through before I go through. But when I open the door, and you’re already going through, you don’t really have to thank me. I know I’m being ridiculous, and people are going to thank you for any door opening that they benefited from and didn’t do themselves, but that won’t stop me from thinking this in this particular situation.
