One of the most annoying things about walking New York during/after a blizzard are the narrow, shovel-width pathways that are on the sidewalk. Because inevitably somewhere along the line you get behind a slow walker and there really is no room to pass them. If you figure we got over a foot of snow, add on another foot at least for the amount that built up during shoveling and there’s really no easy way to pass a person. The morning was better though because there were virtually no cars on the street so walking in the middle of the street was fine, and even if a car came by it was going so slowly you could take your time getting out of the way.
