Yes I’m fully aware this strip makes no sense in that there’s virtually no possibility that a cashier would not be able to provide two dollars in change except for with dollar coins. But you know what? I don’t care! I bought something recently and got two Sacagawea Dollars which I hate. I hate them because no one uses them and because no one uses them I’m always paranoid I’ll get the one person in the entire world who has never seen them before and then they’ll give me crap about trying to spend them. Or they’ll give me the look of hate that I’m forming inside myself when someone gives them to me as change.
I’m almost fully convinced we’re never going to have a dollar coin as long as I live because the government is too stupid to understand how to get people to actually use thetm. But I would love it if they would try to prove me wrong because it would be very convenient.
