It’s always refreshing for someone to go through with a transaction when they find out something they got wasn’t priced as it was marked. It almost never happens when I go to the supermarket but it did this weekend so I had to share my joy. There was however a guy who was miffed when he found out that the pomegranate juice was $5.99. He then proceeded to say under his breath that he could get it for $3.99 next door. Why do people bother saying this sort of thing? The cashier doesn’t give a crap that their prices aren’t lower than competitors. They’re not going to run for the manager saying “Boss! They’re selling pomegranate juice for TWO DOLLARS less next door! We have to change the prices otherwise we’ll lose all our customers!”
