I would never do this but it would be a lot of fun. It figures that once my computer is on the up and up I have to work lots of overtime again. Someone out there was just waiting to play that card the moment I though I could spend quality time with my computer
So I found out from one of the computer guys at work (yes, there are ones other than me) about this program by LaCie which will find out what files were modified and then back them up onto a firewire drive or other format of removable media. The program is called “Silverkeeper” which I’m going to start using as soon as I get a nifty firewire drive. Backing up is a good thing. This is what I’ve learned, though as expected I wish I didn’t have to learn this way.
