Scaffolding’s just one of those mainstay sorts of things that you see in NYC. I always say that when one comes down at least three go up on the same day. But rarely do I ever see people on top of the scaffolding actually working on it. It seems like the times I see the most workers around scaffolding are when it’s going up and when it’s being torn down. I had to take this angle for the photo because I didn’t want to give any free advertising to any of the companies who had their banners on the outside. That’s something that I’ve wondered about. Do all businesses have big scaffolding banners in the event that one is built outside their building? Or does the city help pay for that since the business can’t show its sign otherwise?
