I’ve received junk mail for at least the three previous tenants of the apartment that I currently reside in. Some catalogs, some Christmas cards, some credit card offers and various other types of junk mail. Tonight I got a piece of junk mail and the last name was “Torres” which is funny because I clearly knew that the last name of this person wasn’t “Torres.” It’s not even close to that. Just struck me as odd that in some way I was getting upset that they were getting the name of the previous tenant completely wrong. Weird.
Maybe it wasn’t for the guy you were thinking of. I understand if the name was a bit wrong, but if the name was completely wrong, it was either a fourth tenant or a letter that got put in the wrong postbox. You gotta admit though that it is annoying when almost all of the mail sent to you has your name spelled wrong every time, especially if it is BOTH names. This happens to my family a lot, but usually, it’s just one name. I also find it annoying when the SAME people call your number more than once just to find out that it is a wrong number. Usually if that happens to us, it lasts a while. The best memory I have of this issue is this one family that used to call us every once in a while for some guy named Ping Wang or something. I am pretty sure that there was one time where they called OUR number looking for the same guy FIVE TIMES in ONE MONTH. CHANGE THE GUY’S NUMBER ALREADY SO YOU WILL STOP CALLING US!! I really feel bad when somebody moves and their friends, and relatives especially, don’t know their new phone number. You gotta admit, that would suck. They would basically disappear from your family for quite a while. Unless they have a tight e-mail relationship.
