Novelizations are stupid, but novelizations of stupid movies are just asinine. Just think, someone was paid to write that. Someone saw the movie or read the screenplay and expanded it a bit with some random padding and it went on the market. I’d like to know more about the novelization market, the only perspective I have on it at all is that scene in “Annie Hall” when she’s talking about how they’re easy money because it doesn’t take much to write them. I know some people who were always curious about the novelization of the Garfield Movie, and after looking at the Amazon pages I’m curious about the people who read and gave positive reviews to said books.
