Actually, when I get a bagel with lox I get it on a plain bagel, but that would’ve hindered the humor of the strip a bit. The way I figure it, the lox and tomato is enough taste I don’t need to mix it with some other tastes. That’s why my other bagel of choice is a raisin bagel with plain cream cheese, because the raisin taste (hopefully) is enough to make it interesting that only plain cream cheese is necessary.
