I wanted to puke when I read this article because it’s just so despicably stupid. Of course they’re marketing, otherwise they’d bring in a generic cell phone and explain the technology. Once you show someone a product which has a visible brand on it you’re advertising it. I forget the statistic of how many ads the average person sees in a day, but that’s something that I think of many mornings when I’m on my way to work. Though the statistic must be much higher for the average New Yorker. I’ve thought of trying to count how many I see in a day, but it would be nearly impossible. Does looking down at my sneakers count? Where do you draw the line?
