This is kind of a repeat of one of my very early comics just taken a step further with the punchline. New York really does have some crazy weather. In recent years there’s usually been one major snowstorm that brings things to a halt, but usually it melts quickly either because of rain or just from plain foot traffic.

What I don’t understand is how none of the shop owners seem to have a decent shovel. They have crappy plastic shovels and usually you can see one of them with one of those big chipper things, but no in between. Back home in Boston we used to have these steel shovels that would get underneath anything (of course, it was impossible to lift afterwards but still!)
