It seems like this only happens when I’m in a big hurry. I don’t understand how one dollar can actually make that big of a difference. The guy on the street asking for change can make a dollar in just a few minutes. Some people just drive me crazy because there are things they absolutely won’t buy because they’re not getting some sort of amazing deal on it. The worst is when the cashiers humor them and they go back to do a price check. Or when the customer goes back to the aisle themselves as if that will prove anything unless the cashier sees the price tag themselves.

By the time you’re buying groceries in a nice supermarket that’s not really the time when you should be pinching so much pennies that you won’t buy something if you find out you’re not going to save the dollar you originally thought you were. Money makes people do stupid things.
