If you live in New York and you really like DVDs you probably already know the stores that like to break streetdate. The question is, do you know which ones break streetdate the most? In all truth, I hate when people do this sort of thing. I try not to make the character do stuff that I feel unsympathetic towards, maybe I just wanted another strip where he says poop.
When I worked at my parent’s video store we’d break street date for the loyal customers who we like. But for every other schmuck who thought that maybe they were entitled somehow we just played dumb. Those types of people who believe themselves entitled are usually the worst customers. The best ones are the ones who buy a lot, and don’t complain which makes us want to give them special discounts and treatment every now and then.
