Great/worst thing about the convenience of New York is that it lets you be a completely lazy slug. This strip is pretty much verbatim something that happened to me. I think I had been taking a nap when it occurred to me that I needed to get toothpaste (usually I only buy it as I need it instead of stocking up), but I found out I had an extra tube.
It’s really scary how much you can do now without leaving your apartment. Especially with services like Fresh Direct and also Urban Fetch before it went under. Also if you have on demand cable you don’t have to rent videos, or the same deal with Netflix. Pretty soon we’ll all be like Jabba the Hutt where we basically just stay in one place all the time. Eew.
