I used to draw strips in the morning when I was on the subway, or after work going home when I was on the subway. Eventually I stopped either because I wanted to just listen to music and be lazy or to read comics while I was on the subway. My mornings have become increasingly relaxed over the years. Though it never ceased to amaze me that people sitting next to me would always look at what I was drawing.

I understand watching someone sketch if maybe they were really good and had some sort of very intricate drawing, but I don’t quite understand people wanting to watch what I was drawing. In many ways the drawing is the most painful part of doing my comic, almost a hindrance.
