Not all train conductors are nice enough to correct the automated announcements on the newer subway trains, but this was one exception that actually did happen. What’s funny is hearing the announcers say a few things, and have it be very obvious that one part of the recording is new because it sounds very different from the rest of it. A friend noticed that there are two women who do announcements and at Wall Street one of them sounds rather pleasant, while the other one sounds meaner. I wonder what kind of direction they’re given when they’re in the sound booth recording these things?
